The boring charger you probably actually need

Nobody gets excited about a wall adapter. And yet here I am, writing about one, because sometimes the unglamorous stuff is genuinely worth your attention. Samsung's official 25W foldable travel adapter is one of those things.

The folding plug is the bit that matters most in day-to-day use, honestly. Anyone who's ever pulled a standard blocky charger out of a bag and found it's punched a hole through a jacket pocket will appreciate this. Small detail, proper useful.

Who this is actually for

If you've got a Samsung Galaxy S-series or A-series phone from the last few years, this will charge it properly fast. 25W Super Fast Charging is supported on most of those, and using the official Samsung adapter means you're not gambling on some no-name brick claiming wattages it can't deliver.

It's also decent as a travel charger, compact enough to toss in a washbag without fuss.

Who it isn't for: iPhone users (wrong ecosystem entirely), anyone needing GaN efficiency for multi-device setups, or folks wanting to charge a laptop. This is a phone charger. It does one job.

The reservation worth mentioning

No cable in the box. That stings a bit at any price. Samsung sells this without a USB-C to USB-C cable, so if yours is knackered, you'll need to factor that in. It's not a dealbreaker but it's worth knowing before you click buy.

At under £8 for an official Samsung adapter with a folding plug and proper fast charging, it's not half bad. Just make sure you've got the cable sorted.
