Who actually needs this
If you fly EasyJet more than twice a year and refuse to pay for hold luggage, this rucksack makes a lot of sense. It hits the 45x35x20cm limit bang on, weighs just 200g empty, and folds down small enough to stuff in a coat pocket. Honestly, it's the kind of bag you forget you're carrying until you actually need it.
Personally, I think the foldable format is the real sell here. Most lightweight cabin bags either feel like a crisp packet or have no structure whatsoever. This one has a bit of shape to it, which matters when you're trying to fit a laptop, a change of clothes, and half a Boots meal deal inside without everything collapsing.
The Samsonite name does some work here
At this price, you might expect a no-brand knockoff. This is Samsonite, though, and the TA Revolution line is built specifically for budget airline travel. The reflective details are a nice touch if you're catching early morning connections in the dark. The zips feel solid enough. It's not going to replace a proper hardshell, but that's not the point.
One reservation: no laptop sleeve, which is a bit annoying if that's your main use case. And no frame means heavier loads get uncomfortable fairly quickly.
The honest verdict
For the price, this is spot on for light travellers who want to avoid gate bag fees without lugging something heavy around all day. Not for weekend trips where you need actual kit. But as a grab-and-go cabin rucksack? Not half bad at all.
