What you're actually getting
The iMini 2 is about the size of a chunky USB stick. It clips onto your keyring, charges magnetically (no fiddly cables), and throws out a surprisingly decent beam for something this small. Olight rates it at 50 lumens on high, which isn't going to light up a football pitch, but it absolutely handles a dark car park, a fuse box under the stairs, or that moment when the power cuts out mid-telly.
Personally, I've had a version of this torch rattling around on my keys for a couple of years now. The thing that actually gets used is never the big head torch you pack optimistically, it's the small one you forgot was there.
Who it suits (and who it doesn't)
This is spot on for anyone who wants a torch they'll genuinely carry without thinking about it. Cyclists, dog walkers, anyone with a poorly lit front door. At around thirteen quid, it's the kind of purchase that just quietly earns its keep.
Not for you if you're hoping for serious output. Fifty lumens is enough for everyday fumbles, not for hiking or anything where you need real throw. The magnetic charge cable is also a bit fiddly if you lose the proprietary bit, which is my one honest reservation.
The community heat is real here
Nearly a thousand degrees on HotUKDeals isn't an accident. This thing keeps coming up because it keeps delivering. No frills, no faff. Solid little bit of kit for the price.
