What you're actually getting
A tube of 20 fizzing tablets that turn plain water into a low-calorie electrolyte drink. No sugar, no thick syrup texture. Just sodium, magnesium, calcium, and a bit of vitamin C doing their thing quietly in your bottle. Nine flavours means you're not stuck with one forever, which matters more than it sounds after your fourteenth citrus drink of the month.
Who this is genuinely for
If you run, cycle, or do anything that makes you sweat properly, these are spot on. I started using them last summer during longer rides when plain water just wasn't cutting it and I kept getting that dull headache by kilometre 40. These sorted it. Not magic, just basic hydration science done cheaply and without any nonsense ingredients list.
They're also decent if you're someone who struggles to drink enough water generally. The mild flavour makes it easier to get through a full bottle at your desk.
My honest reservation
The taste is subtle, almost too subtle depending on the flavour. Some of the berry ones are lovely. The orange is a bit flat. Personally I'd grab the mixed variety first rather than committing to one flavour in bulk. Also, the tubes are small and easy to lose in a kit bag, which has happened to me more than once.
At this price, with the Subscribe and Save discount stacked on top, there's very little reason to pay more elsewhere for the same thing. Not glamorous, but proper good value.
