Look, there's nothing clever to say about Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup. You already know what it tastes like. That slightly sweet, almost orange-y warmth, the way it goes a bit skin-ny on top if you leave it two minutes too long. Every sick day, every cold lunch, every student kitchen. It's that soup.
So the question isn't really "is it good" - it's "is this deal worth it."
At roughly 45p a can when you do the Subscribe & Save maths, honestly, yes. That's a decent chunk below what you'd pay grabbing a multipack off the shelf at Tesco. The community on HotUKDeals seems to agree, nearly a thousand degrees of heat on this one, which for a soup deal is frankly remarkable.
Who should actually buy this
If you've got a family that goes through soup regularly through autumn and winter, this is a no-brainer. Same if you're the type who likes a proper backup shelf - you know, tins, pasta, stuff you're glad you bought when it's miserable outside and you can't be bothered.
Where it gets a bit awkward is the Subscribe & Save mechanic. You have to remember to cancel or manage the subscription, which some people find a faff. If that sounds like you, it might not be worth the mild admin headache.
Honestly though, for the price per can, it's spot on. Stock levels won't hang around forever at this price, so if you're a Heinz tomato loyalist - and there are millions of you - it's worth a look now rather than later.
