Who actually needs this
Look, toothbrushes aren't exciting. Nobody's ever posted an unboxing video of a toothbrush and gone viral. But here's the thing: dentists say you should swap yours every three months, and most people do it roughly twice a year when they remember, or when the bristles look like a sad hedgehog. Nine brushes is basically a two-year supply if you're following the rules. For a family, it's more like eight months. Either way, you're sorted.
Personally, I started buying Colgate mediums in bulk a while back after my dentist gave me a mild telling-off about frayed bristles. Nothing dramatic, just the sort of quiet disappointment that makes you sort your life out. These are perfectly decent brushes. Medium firmness, straight bristles, no gimmicks. They do the job.
The Subscribe & Save bit
The catch, if you can even call it that, is you're signing up to Amazon's Subscribe & Save to hit the roughly £2.59 price point. You can cancel after the first delivery, obviously. Plenty of people do exactly that. It's a mild faff but three minutes of your life for nine toothbrushes at this price is honestly a fair trade.
Not for you if you've already got a cupboard full, or if you're committed to an electric brush and genuinely use it. But if you're the sort who grabs whatever's on offer in the supermarket and pays two quid per brush without thinking, this is a proper upgrade in the wallet department. Simple as.
